2/3/2010 Sabrina Newsom Vitreous condensations (floaters) Pars plana vitrectomy for vitreous condensations will be limited.
Due to the increasing demands on Dr. Charles' time for engineering and teaching, he is limiting pars plana vitrectomy for vitreous condensations (floaters) to patients who have had previous cryo or laser for retinal tears, retinal holes, retinal breaks or lattice degeneration. Dr. Charles does not suggest the need for laser before "so-called FOV" and no longer operates on otherwise normal eyes.
